How to Check the Status of a Permit

Manatee County Development Services provides online access to permit information through the Accela Citizen Access Portal.

The portal allows the public to search for permits and view permit-related information without submitting a public records request.

Information Available Online

The Accela portal provides access to permit information including:

  • Permit status (Open, Closed, Expired, Issued, Finaled, etc.)

  • Inspection history

  • Review history

  • Permit details

  • Contractor information

  • Permit dates and milestones

  • Property and project information

  • Associated records and documents, where available

Users may search by:

  • Permit Number

  • Address

  • Parcel Number

  • Contractor Name

  • Project Name

Records Prior to 2018

Permit information and documents dating prior to 2018 may not be available through the online portal.

To obtain records prior to 2018, a Public Records Request must be submitted through the Manatee County Public Records Request Portal.

If the permit records you are seeking are not available online, you may submit a request through the County's Public Records Request Portal.

Please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • Permit Number (if known)

  • Property Address

  • Parcel Number

  • Property Owner Name

  • Date Range of Records Requested

Providing detailed information will assist County staff in locating responsive records.
