The Medical Rear Door Assistance Program, provided by Manatee County’s Solid Waste Division, is a service for residents who cannot move their garbage bins to the curb due to medical conditions, for the same monthly service rate. Once approved, a sanitation worker will collect your bin from your home, place it at the curb for pickup, and return it afterward. This program reflects Manatee County’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring physical limitations don’t stand in the way of a clean and safe living environment. Eligibility is determined case-by-case, based on a physician's certification confirming your condition and the need for assistance.
